The Stronghold is the first and finest of Calgary's climbing centers, offering a safe environment where climbing is fun. They give support to climbers of all ages and abilities. They encourage learning and help you push your limits. The Stronghold is a stress-free place for fitness, friends, and challenges.

Stronghold has three floors and over 15,000 square feet of climbing, training and bouldering space. Routes range from 5.6 to 5.13, although the majority are in the 5.9-5.10 range.

They offer everything from easy 40 foot vertical to 65 foot steep heinous routes you wish you never got on. Most of our walls have tape routes too, so you'll never run out of things to climb.

 

The Stronghold has more than 30 different roped walls for your climbing pleasure, ranging from 45 to 70 feet long! About half of them are leadable. Most of their walls have many different taped routes, ranging from 5.7 to 5.13.

They have everything from balancey crimpfests to overhanging jug hauls.  Upstairs on our mezzanine which overlooks all our climbing walls we have a beginner to intermediate bouldering area , with an endless traverse wall , and a massive cave. This is the place to come to get warmed up or completely obliterated!
