The Glenbow Museum is one of this Country's greatest museums and largest in Western Canada located right here in Calgary at the Olympic Plaza LRT Station. This museum provides its visitors, through its artifacts, stories of the West as it was back to the first white settlers of the 1800's to the history of the area's First Nations.

Glenbow Museum began with the remarkable vision of petroleum entrepreneur and lawyer Eric Lafferty Harvie. Mr. Harvie came into his fortune when oil was discovered on the land to which he held the mineral rights to, with the discovery in Leduc in 1947 and in Redwater in 1949.
