Jesse Dee & Jacquie B define versatility. Their musical landscape ranges from funky jazz and hard hitting rock, to delicate folk; yet their unique harmonies and rhythmic shifts defy any expectation listeners may have. Putting a finger on what they’ll do next is next to impossible! Dee’s electric guitar and pedal stylings along with the charming accordion B throws on occasionally, the final product is a genre-bending mélange that has been steadily becoming a favourite of Canada’s independent music scene.
Relocating from Edmonton, AB to Wells, BC, was a great move. J & J have found the time and creative energy to work on their 3rd offering to be released in 2011 - an album which they anticipate will demonstrate their live and band performances, but also capture the essence of their charm as just a duo, focusing on lyrics and harmonies and space. What’s more is they’ve been increasingly combining forces with house mate and folk/ roots songsmith Ory No’man which spawned the new project NATIONAL TREASURE; a collaboration of both groups music akin to the ethos that created bands such as Broken Social Scene and The United Steel Workers of Montreal.
