Calgary Zoo - Calgary Tour Guide  Back to Calgary Tour Guide

In the mood for an exciting safari experience? A trip to Calgary would not be complete without a trip to the Calgary Zoo! Observe animals you don’t see every day in replicated habitats from around the world! Take a trip to Africa where you’ll see lions daringly up close, or drop by the Canadian wilds, where you’ll get to see wildlife from the Rocky Mountains! Watch jumping kangaroos and cute-as-a-button koalas from the Australian Outback. Stop in Eurasia where pandas and beautifully striped Siberian tigers roam, and while you’re there, you can’t miss the spectacular Asian elephants at Elephant Crossing! Have you ever seen a spider monkey? The South America destination is sure to fascinate you with its diverse looking creatures! Picture Western Canada as it would appear when dinosaurs existed. Featuring life-sized dinosaur figures and more than 100 species of plants, Prehistoric Park is definitely one of the Calgary Zoo’s hot spots! If you enjoy plants and flowers of all kinds, the Botanical Gardens will intrigue you with its six acres of plantings, in addition, the entire zoo is a garden and contains plants suited for each environment.
