There are so many things to experience in this diverse city;
it will be necessary to plan ahead to ensure you’ll get
to everything you MUST see.
Traffic is busy in the city and parking is very expensive. So
if you have a car with you, leave it at your hotel when exploring
the city and use it for trips to outlying attractions. The Calgary
Transit System (TTC) is easy to use and quite inexpensive. Taxis
are also readily available.
There are a lot of things to see and do in Calgary, and here
are some places you should look into:

Avenue Shopping
Located in the heart of inner city Calgary, 17th Avenue
is a place where people work, live, shop and dine. You'll
find over 200 locally owned and operated boutiques in this
area, one of Calgary's oldest communities.

Stampede
The city is famous for the Calgary Stampede,
a huge agricultural fair and rodeo held every July for 10
days. Almost 100 years old and billing itself as "The
Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth" it is the event of
the year!
Alberta Boot Company
Though not a typical touristy-attraction, Alberta's only
Western boot manufacturer is a fun place to visit and shop
for a new pair of boots. With over 12,000 pairs in stock,
you’re sure to find something that’s perfect
for you.

Chinese Cultural Centre
You don’t have to travel to Beijing to see amazing
Chinese architecture; you’ll find it here in Calgary!
The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre is one of the largest
cultural centers in Canada. Within, the centre features
an art gallery, a museum and several businesses.

Olympic Park
The host city of the 1988 Winter Olympic Games takes pride
in its sporting legacy. Canada Olympic Park is a multi-purpose
athletic facility designed for skiing, snowboarding and
bobsledding during the winter.

Chinatown
Purported to be Canada's second largest Chinatown, this
neighborhood dates back to 1910. It is located between the
Bow River and 4th Avenue SW in downtown Calgary.

Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology
Though hours drive from Calgary, this is worth the trip. The
world’s largest display of dinosaurs in a state-of-the-art
