Calgary International Piano Competition
The Esther Honens Calgary International Piano Competition &
Festival is held in late November. This world-class competition
for pianists is held every 4 years. Imagine the wonderful
talent that you’ll hear throughout the festival, as young
and old alike entertain and amaze the audience and judges. Accompanying
the competition is a festival which celebrates piano music of
a variety of genres.

The city is famous for the Calgary Stampede, a huge agricultural
fair and rodeo held every July for 10 days. Almost 100 years
old and billing itself as "The Greatest Outdoor Show
on Earth"

This festival, held the end of April through mid-May features
many nights of comedy with a variety of performers at different

In late June, this 3 day family festival entertains almost
10,000 attendees with live music, dancing, wine and food.

Festival
Held over Saturday and Sunday on the August long weekend,
the Calgary Dragon Boat race festival draws teams from across
