Overview | Location

Calaway Park is Western Canada’s Largest Outdoor Family Amusement Park.  The park opened its doors in 1982 and has grown from a small amusement park to one of Calgary and Western Canada’s best attractions!

The park spans 160 acres (operating on 90 acres) and has a collection of 30 rides!  Featuring numerous attractions, rides for the thrill- seekers and top-notch live entertainment. Calaway is fun for the whole family!

Enjoy 32 rides, 24 games, daily stage shows from the cast of Calaway Live, and tons of treats from one of our tasty food locations. Unlimited rides, shows, attractions and parking are included for one easy daily admission price.

The Best Time To Visit:
Attendance at the park is lightest on weekdays during the summer and the best time to visit is between 3pm and park close.

What To Bring Along:
Bring suntan lotion, a hat and a smile! A sweater is also a good idea; the weather cools off at the end of the day. If you forget, Hudstones Toys & Gifts may have what you are looking for.

Getting Around The Park:
Wear comfortable shoes and if you want to go on the Shoot the Chutes Log ride or Bumper Boat Splash Challenge, wear clothes that won’t take too long to dry.

If your question regarding Season Passes has not been answered above, you may leave a message on Calaway Park’s Season Pass Inquiry Line at (403) 685-6138. *This is only voicemail*. You may leave a message and someone from Guest Services will get back to you within 1 business day. 

Picnicking at Calaway Park:
Areas indicated by the picnic basket icon on the park map are available for day use for guests who would like to picnic at Calaway Park. Please note, The Explorer’s & Traders BBQ Outpost is intended for private functions only. Thank you for your cooperation.

Live Entertainment:
Calaway Park presents daily live entertainment. See the Show Marquees around the park for schedules.

ATM Machines and Cash:
Calaway Park locations do not accept $100 bills or the old $50 bills. Guest Services next to admissions will be able to make change upon request.

Two ATM machines are accessible within the park for guests that require the service. Locations of ATM machines are shown on the Calaway Park map.

Guest With Special Needs:
Guests with special needs can visit the Guest Service office for admission, information and other services. Calaway Park is 90% wheelchair accessible.

Stroller and Wheelchair Rentals:
Calaway Park offers stroller rentals for $5.00 at Hudstones Toys & Gifts located inside the entrance area of Calaway Park.  Picture ID is required as deposit.  Wheelchairs are available for rent on a first come, first service basis in our First Aid Office to the right of the Guest Service office. Calaway Park is 90% wheelchair accessible.

Day Lockers and Payphones:
Day lockers are available for storage at a charge of $1 for small lockers and $2 for large lockers. Payphones are available around the park.

Washrooms
Calaway Park has washroom facilities in three different locations on park.  Please pick up a park map at Guest Services for washroom locations.  Changing tables are available in all washrooms.

Calaway Park Lost & Found
Calaway Park’s lost & found is located at the Guest Services office.  Please check in at the office if you have lost something during your visit.  Please note, employees may not be able to return lost items until they have a break or at the end of their shift so keep checking in.  You can leave your name and number with Guest Services so they can contact you if the item is turned in or call them at (403) 240-3822 to check on lost items.

Lost & found items are held for three weeks.  After three weeks items are donated to charity.

Gift certificates for admission into Calaway Park are available at the Guest Service office.

Transportation:
Calaway Park does not offer public transportation however, Calgary Transit will get you close!  Our suggestion is to take bus route #408 to Canada Olympic Park and take a taxi from there. We are located approximately 10km from COP.

Bad Weather:
Inclement weather affects our operation. Depending on the severity of the weather, Calaway Park may close early or not open. Call us at (403) 240-3822 or visit our homepage at www.calawaypark.com for the current status.

If you are visiting our park on one of these days, you will be given plenty of notice for early park closure.
