Established: 1965 Bow Valley College was originally known as the Alberta Vocational Centre. In 1990, the Centre was renamed to the Alberta Vocational College (AVC). In 1998, after being incorporated into Alberta’s "Colleges Act," AVC was renamed Bow Valley College.
Bow Valley College is a post-secondary institution that specializes in career and vocational training. It is also the largest provider of ESL programs in Calgary. Graduates from this College have historically had a high degree of career success with about 95% of students being employed in their respective fields 6 months after graduation.
